Hi TagDiv team. On our site – https://biztimes.com/ – we have added to custom taxonomies for normal WordPress posts — the taxonomies are Companies and People as you can see in the screenshot. We want to create a cloud template for these taxonomies terms … e.g. a “Company” template and a “People” template. Kind of like we’d create a cloud template for Tags, Authors and Categories.
However, when we look at the Cloud Templates section in the WP Admin, we don’t see anything listed for Companies and People under either the General > WordPress Templates section, nor in the CPT/Taxonomies > Custom Taxonomies section. See other screenshots.
Why can’t we see Company and People to define cloud templates for those items? How can we do this? Thanks in advance for the help!

Please create a new CPT and assign the taxonomies for it. If you set the taxonomies for posts, it will not appear to set a cloud template.

If I understand this properly, it sounds like TagDiv does not support cloud templates for custom taxonomies on WordPress posts? What you suggest requires a complete restructure of our data which translates into thousands of dollars of development time.
Are there any plans to add support for custom post taxonomies? Or any way we can help convince your developers to add this support? 🙂

The cloud template has support for taxonomies, but you need to assign the taxonomies to a custom post type, not posts, to have it -> https://i.imgur.com/hruQ0lG.png This is added to our list, but I don’t know when it will be fixed.
