Hello cbf99,
Here is talking about the footer template. Please notice that our theme has a list with some footer templates which can be used on your website. So, if you want to have your custom footer template, you should use the Footer template 5 and then, from Widgets section you should add your desired content in Footer 1, Footer 2, Footer 3.
