Hi, Guys!
I have upgraded recently to Newspaper X and I now have the new version of the Tagdiv Composer.
Prior to starting this topic, I have performed the following: deactivated most plugins,
I have the following problems (I’ll list them in order of priority that needs to be resolved):
Urgent: Can’t change any row background picture to any new or existing row. However, I can change it to pictures that came with the objects (supplied by you in templates). They work, but my existing pictures DO NOT WORK AT ALL. So, the replacement function works, but with your pictures only, so I don’t think there is a plugin (previously uploaded) at fault.
Good to Have: TagDIv right-click doesn’t work. I need the Copy Style feature that you have in the right-click menu.
I need your help to have this figured out fast since my client is expecting updates and I can’t perform them due to this little absurdity for which I wasted many hours. I also have to mention that I have multiple licenses with you and I am a little disappointed by this mess with Standard Pack and all that. Fortunately, I don’t need to change too much after the update, without the standard pack.
Cheers,
Diana
The problem described as URGENT above: none of the objects that involve pictures allow the upload of any existing/new media library items: single image doesn’t allow it, either, background image, nothing. Thje only pictures that can be linked to objects are the pictures from your demos.
Hi Diana,
Please try not to reply multiple times in the topic if possible, this will only delay our response. Replying multiple times will refresh the topic date and move it to the back of the line, we answer from oldest to newest. Also please note the allocated support hours mentioned in the top banner.
Please make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
Also make sure that allow_url_fopen = On;
-> https://chemicloud.com/kb/article/how-to-enable-or-disable-allow_url_fopen-in-cpanel/
-> https://www.a2hosting.com/kb/developer-corner/php/using-php.ini-directives/php-allow-url-fopen-directive
When the right click menu is not working most of the time is a plugin conflict, please try only with theme plugins enable and see the results.
Now the Newspaper theme was divided into these plugins, therefore when tagDiv Standard pack is enable you have access to standard templates (these templates that can be edited only from theme panel), now if you are not using non of theme, then you can disable that plugin, now all demos are using cloud template from tagDiv Cloud Library these can be edited from frontend using tagDiv Composer.
Hope this will help you!
Let me know the results!
Hi,
I try my best, but is hard to find the problem without having a link or access to check the problem, that is way I recommend to try the above steps, most of the time, there is a plugin conflict or some settings that are interfering.
Please provide me a link to your website where I can inspect some images and please make sure that you checked the plugins or if you want we can login to check the problem, make a full backup and send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login and cPanel. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email and provide as more details and screenshots you can.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi, guys:
I have sent the information to you via email last Thursday, Sep 24. I wonder if you were able to find any glitches?
Alternatively, if tagdiv doesn’t work, and you can’t figurer out where the glitch is, what are my options, as far as editors are concerned? Can I use DIVI builder? If so, do I have to deactivate the tagDiv composer?
Thank you.

Hi,
I think that my colleagues replied via email. Also I forgot to say to check the images that you want to upload, maybe these has some text or code in Caption -> https://i.imgur.com/pF9j2AJ.jpg make a test, select an image and remove that text from caption, then set it as background.
Let me know the result!
Thank you!
I can’t believe that I lost 3 weeks of updates, re-installation, rework and pain over such a detail! Including the possibility to rework the whole site… I’ve just discovered this bit myself and I was about to write to you about it.
So, to make it clear: your tagdiv composer does NOT upload in objects pictures that have a caption, which is so important for SEO for any kind of business, inclusive of the Newspaper business. This should have been at the top of the update, in every article that talks about the Newspaper X version. I hope you are working on some fix of some kind…
