Can’t get Thrive Comments to show

We moved from WPDiscuz to Thrive Comments. Thrive comments depends on the default WordPress comments being used and replaces it with their own user interface. Because we’re using TagDiv composer, all of our pages are using the composer’s comment widget.
Is there any way to get Newspaper to use just plain WordPress comments and not use the widget from the composer?

Hi,

If you are using a single post template then post possible that the Thrive Comments to need to be adjusted or in case that can be set with a code or shortcode, then it can be maybe more easy done.
What I can recommend is to set for the posts the post style default from in the theme panel and see if the Thrive Comments is starting to work (is possible that using standard template for articles to work and only with cloud template to be this situation).

Thank you!

Unfortunately, Thrive Comments automatically replaces the standard WordPress comments section. There are no other options for inserting their comments section via short code.

Since Newspaper is not using the default WordPress comments section, and there appears to be no way to make your theme use standard WordPress comments, Thrive Comments is incompatible with your theme.

By the way – It also removed the “Single Post Date” from rendering on the front end for all Cloud Templates…

Hi,
Unfortunately the only suggestion that normally should work was to use a standard template or the one default – https://i.imgur.com/ghig91Q.png if this was not working I believe that it will be need to be done custom.
Thank you!
