On the ProWrestling.com main page, I am looking to help the website change the “blog” news area into something different.
Where in the WordPress will I likely find the option to edit that particular area of the main page?
No success looking through wordpress or using Firebug to locate the file.
Thanks
Hi, this may not help but:
Did you try the Newspaper theme panel where you can turn things on/off, set template style, etc. ?
Since ‘blogs’ is a ‘category’ — you can change options for that ‘category’ from the theme panel. There is no single file for that index as it’s dynamically generated from WP based on the category template, as set for the specific style chosen from theme panel.
To build a custom template, you would need to clone the default category template(s) then per WP customization procedures, create custom template for that ‘category’ by name or ID to over-ride default template(s).
Much easier to initially setup changes for the basic layout stuff from theme panel as starting point.
Sorry if that didn’t help. Just popped in for something else to check on so thought I share that.
Hi,
I see you use the old theme version, but I’m not sure what you want to edit as I see you use Visual Composer pagebuilder to create your page so you can change the blocks settings if you want.
Please provide more details about this, a screenshot may help.
Thanks!
I didn’t design the website so I don’t know to much about Visual Composer pagebuilder. Essentially, I’m hoping to figure out how to edit which categories are seen on the starting page.
I have looked through the theme panel, I see the category tab but not seeing the option I need.

Like many page-builder related setups, you actually edit the “page” which has been set as the static home page; then the page builder options on that “page” let you change stuff like which category is loaded into a block, move things around in a column (move a block up or down, etc.).
So, find the “page” being set as static home page – a normal WP setup.
Then on that page launch the Visual Composer, and go to the block element you want to edit, and then change the settings from that block in side the visual editor.
