Can't save theme panel changes after switching to HTTPS

Hi, I have a strange problem in that I’ve just switched to HTTPS and can no longer save any changes made in theme panel. The saving icon just keeps spinning and doesn’t complete.

tip:
add explicit https paths to your wp-config.php file

make sure to resave permalinks
