Captions to the pictures

After updating the theme to version 8.2, there was a problem with the captions to the pictures. The text is not transferred, but is written in one line.

i have same issue on 8.1. Then tried 8.2 but its same as 8.1

I found out that this is a theme problem with WordPress 4.9.
If you put any other theme – everything is fine. As soon as you activate the Newspaper – the troubles begin with the captions to the pictures.

The thought that only developers can help solve the problem.

Hello kastan,

First of all, make sure that you are using the latest theme version installed via FTP way, remove all of the untested plugins if you are using something like this, clear all the caches and check the results.

I am using the latest newspaper theme 8.2 with no plugins installed at all, yet the caption takes 100% of the area and creates a VERY bad impression of the site.
Is there a workarround?

No need. I upgraded to Newspaper 8.5 and there is no problem any more.
