You have to customize it to look good for you. Make sure you go trough all it’s settings and adjust it to look good. You can also add and use a custom css class if you need it to style it some more, like I did here: http://screencast.com/t/auY537xS8
Unfortunately in the last version of Visual Composer we also lost some of the classes as they have changed and some Visual Composer elements lost their css, we have this on our todo list and we are working on it unfortunately we still have incompatibility issues regarding VC style.

will it be a problem connect a newsmag and newspaper? because in new theme there is a perfect width and good block for gallery and video, in newspaper i wanted to that with carousel…

Unoftunatelly I can’t recommend and guarantte you a plugin that will work with newspaper as we haven’t made any teste with any plsuing of this kind. You should try something like Carousel Horizontal Posts Content Slider for ex or similar. Test it and see how it behaves and if it doesn’t work well, try another.
Sorry I can’t can’t give you an exact answer on this but I guess you can understand that we cannot test all plugins available out there.
Not sure what you mean by connecting. If you mean if you can use them both or something like that, you can do it, switching to newsmag should be as easy as switching to another theme.

Shouldn’t be difficult as it’s the same platform and you can make the same changes and more regarding the fact that newsmag has more features and since you already done this changes should be easy for you now.
Newspaper dons’t have any features that newsmag doesn’t have and newsmag also support tiled galleries.
