Category Pages?

I changed from another theme to Newspaper and found a problem which I can’t solve:
Everytime when I like to see posts from a specific category I’m lead to a post. Permalinks are re-saved and there is no 301 forwarding.

Example: https://www.salzburg12.at/news/red-bull-salzburg/ leads to https://www.salzburg12.at/2013/05/red-bull-salzburg-admira-florian-klein/

“news” is my category base, “red-bull-salzburg” the category name.
Suggenstions?

Actually from what I can see that link is redirected – http://prntscr.com/mbyh4v
The theme doesn’t have redirecting capabilities, maybe this is caused by a SEO plugin, a redirection plugin, or maybe rules in the htaccess.

From what I can see there is no category base like you mention, this is the link to the category page
– https://www.salzburg12.at/red-bull-salzburg/
Check the permalink settings and check if the category is entered in the structure
– http://prntscr.com/mbyl1w
