When you click on any of the categories on my website like “live” “love” “fruit” or “recipes” there comes up a blank page:

How do I avoid this or re-direct it?

Simple thing for now — delete the categories… if they are “empty” and you don’t yet have content, then when ready to enable them for a story, turn them on. If a NEW site, trick is to create a good long “description” for the category describing WHAT the cat is going to feature … kind of a “coming soon….” block of text as placeholder, so that the cats are already available to “choose” when creating content — otherwise you have bit of a chicken/egg thing with new website 🙂

LiveLoveFruit has been up for awhile, and I have hundreds of articles. When you hover over each category you can see all the articles, BUT if you click on each category it will just bring you to a blank page and not show you any of the articles. If you go to http://www.livelovefruit.com quickly you will see what I mean. Or if you want I can take screenshots and send those over by what I mean.
Maybe resave your permalinks.
I don’t think that’s the issue..Is there anyone else who can chime in on this?
I’ve resaved all my permalinks – the issue is that when I click on a category in the header bar, there is a megamenu that drops down. Say I don’t click on anything in the megamenu, and instead just want to click on the category that the megamenu drops down from – this is where the problems arise – it brings me to a 404 error page.
How do I link the categories in the menu, to the actual posts they should go to?
Sorry, there is no 404 error page it just brings me to a blank template page that says the Category name above and thats it. Above that it says: Home > Fruit (fruit is a parent category of sub-categories)
I have the same problem on http://www.alltomtrav.info
It comes and goes. Very annoying!!!!

That behavior is on all your site’s pages, homepage also and they all appear unstyled. Checking your site I’ve noticed that you’ve minified/compressed your css/html so please make sure that you also tested this without using any plugins and turn off any css/html/js compression you have enabled then test again.
If noting changes then please make sure you re-upload the latest version theme files via FTP following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/

I can’t see this on your site so please provide more details which can help me recreate this and also make sure you also test without plugins, empty caches turn off minification option and test again.

Thanks for the response. This problem occurred even before I minified my site. What do you mean they appear unstyled?
My website is completely messy right now due to something – I am deleting everything and starting from scratch. If you can get back to me on this category thing, I’m sure it’s a simple fix.

Just wanted to let you know that I solved my problem – the links in my menu were pages, which then had categories in them. When I made the menu from the actual categories and then had sub-categories within those categories, it seemed to fix the problem. I have no idea why I created pages in the first place. Thanks for your help!

Can you clear your cookies and cache of your browser and check to see if that is what you see?
I replaced my style.css code with the original, not minified – when I minify my style.CSS code, the mobile site completely messes up – do you know why? It appears as the above. It is recommended to minify in Chris’ pagespeed post (he outlines how to do it) – but it makes the mobile theme un-useable.

I’ve checked your site and it looks fine.
Try to disable all plugins/cdn/cache (if you use any) and check if it works, the css may interfere with the one coming from the plugins. I’ve tested it on my side and it works – http://screencast.com/t/gAYdQcjPlN – maybe you made a mistake in the process, try to repeat it.
