I have a few questions about the category filters.
1) By default the “last” option is selected. I have set the theme to use infinite loading+load more button. However I have an article that is not showing up and there is no pagination. When I switch to a filter like random (?filter_by=random_posts) there will be a page 2.
So this is confusing because:
a) There is no load more button
b) Why is the default option not showing all articles OR pagination?
2) Isn’t it bad for SEO to have 6 different filter options for the same results?

This issue was created by wordpress 4.4. It was fixed however in the current version so please update your theme to the latest version 6.6.3.

I am actually using WordPress 4.3.1 with theme version 6.5.1.
Reason I kept with 6.5 was this line:
“[ Version 6.6.1 ]

I have had some really bad experiences with joomla+facebook api which had a requirement of self signed certificates.
Anyway Tutorial looks decent thought so I guess I will try it. But I am wondering about how to update from 6.x though.
The Envato website only has the latest archive which only contains incremental patch_6.6.2_6.6.3. Do I need to do full delete and re-upload of the theme?
Update:
I did a quick test renaming the current newspaper directory to newspaper5 and then uploading the latest version as newspaper. All looked well until I disabled the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin. Then the website showed error 500.
I was able to get the website back by renaming the original newspaper5 back to newspaper.
But I guess I am kind of stuck on 6.5.1 now!
Update 2:
I have narrowed my issue down to the theme I just uploaded because it only happens with that theme… I have uploaded a fresh copy of Newspaper 6.x and now the error 500 seems to be gone. I must have made a mistake in a function added to functions.php.
So as long as 6.5.1>6.6.3 can be accomplished by a complete re-upload then I am good (please confirm :P).

If you have custom modifications made to the theme files please create a back-up of them and then simply delete the old theme and replace it with the new theme version you download from envato and your’re done. (settings will not be affected).

Ok so let’s ignore all that and start again.
I (now) have the latest WordPress version 4.4.1 and the latest theme version 6.6.3.
Still there is no load more button, and the random filter shows a second page (pagination) with the “missing” article: http://goo.gl/1iH8uX
