Category errors

Hi guys,

Been using Newsmag for some time but have recently noticed an issue with my categories – in that they are pointing to HTTP ERROR 500.

I’ve not made any significant changes to anything, and can’t see a reason for this.

Any ideas please?

http://www.thexboxhub.com – you’ll see the cat dropdown in the bottom right fails, as do the cat links in the menu (although the custom links etc work fine, as do tags).

Hi,

I can’t seem to be able to access the website, there is a 500 error currently. Should be no problem if you follow the guide – https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
Also, the most reliable method to update the theme is by FTP -https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/

In some cases 500 errors were caused by insufficient memory, we recommend a value of 256M if possible. Try increasing it or contact the hosting provider and provide them with this guide – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-requirements/

If you already tried this, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide FTP or cPanel as well as admin login. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email. Let us know.

Hi Catalin,

Thanks for your reply. Not sure why you are seeing 500 errors on the main site – everything is working fine there.

It is just the category links that we are seeing the issues with, and this was found before we updated the theme with the latest instructions.
