My main menu and search are deader than a doornail. Only the “Home” item works. The dead menu items are category menu items. The search field simply does not work. The mega menu doesn’t work, either.

Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Thanks, that solved the problem for the menu, megamenu, search field! I host on the WordPress Pro plan, and the conflicting plug was one they had installed: “Page Optimize.” In case that helps anyone else.
You must have sent me some brilliance… I fixed the problem, of certain blocks not updating, by checking the “offset posts” settings. Just needed to set those to “0.”

Yes, that is right, you can set the offset 0 or you can remove the number from that field and you’ll get all the latest posts.
