Further to Above, We believe that is is done after the wordpress 4.6 update…since tomorrow it is find and today morning we updated the wordpress and we notice this…

Hi,
We also use wordpres 4.6 on our local install and also we have tested the beta version before the release but we did not found any issues with the category tag on post page.
Please disable all your plugins except Visual Composer to make sure that it is not a plugin issue and also clear all your caches.
Let us know and provide a link where you get this issue so we can inspect it.

Disabling and re-enabling all plugins solved our problem…
