Hi. One of the last steps in creating my page is the subpage category.
I want it to look like a wireframe. So I have 2 questions:
1. How can I easily add a my html code with an icon and text to each category? Each category will have a different text and icon.
2. What is the easiest way to get a different number of characters that is shown as an article description?

1. So you are referring to the category pages. You can add descriptions and why not an icon/image while editing the category, in the description field of each category

The MCE editor is added and can be used on category descriptions, if you have the Yoast SEO plugin installed. But it could be enable differently, there are solution online that you could try. Or simply install Yoast SEO and it will be available.
For different excerpt lengths on the same module types, you will have to set them manually for each post.
The excerpt field should be visible in each of the post edit screens, if it is not please check if it is enabled in the screen options

That is unusual. There should be screen options there. Check other sections and see if the same issue is present. Check in a page for example

Usually this kind of issues when they happen, they are caused by a plugin. You could try deactivating all plugins except theme plugins and see if this has any effect.

Problem whit empty screen options is only on chrome in firefox i see screen options, so this problem I have solved.
But I still have a problem with the appearance of news in terms of. Despite different excerpt lengths the next posts start in one line. The image shows me exactly what it is. How can I do this easily?

That would not be possible, or would require major modifications. The modules are organized in rows, when a row ends the next one will begin. This works horizontally in direction

Something like that would not be possible with theme options. You could choose a different module for the category page, which has only one module per row. You can see all of them in the live demo (Features->Category layouts->Module list)
