Category pages show "No posts to display"

I can’t figure out why (most of) my category pages don’t display posts (I’ve chosen the M6 design on the template and the categories). They used to show the slider (still with “no posts to display” shown under the slider), but I don’t want the slider, just the individual posts under the specified category to display.

Now that I’ve disabled the slider, nothing displays (at least on the ‘Casa Grande’ category … for some reason, the ‘Locations > Eloy’ category shows the slider, but again without individual posts).

Finally figured it out. The ‘featured’ category was the culprit. I eliminated that category from all my posts and the category pages then displayed the posts correctly.
