Hi, we have set-up a category for a block so when you “load next” it loads items from that category. This works on Safari, BUT not Firefox or Edge. On those it brings up items from other categories. This makes it way more confusing because it behaves differently on different browsers. It works fine on Chrome desktop but not mobile.
I’ve selected one category in the Category filter but had the above issues, so as a second measure, I put the same category number in the multiple category filter. Is this expected behaviour? Does anyone else have the same problem? I couldn’t find an issue that matched my issues in search.
Hi,
That would be unusual, there should be no difference regarding the content the block displays depending on the browser used. Maybe it is a matter of browser cache, try to force refresh the pages in the browser (should be Ctrl+Shift+R).
Please post a link to this page so I can make some tests with multiple browsers.
Thanks

That was my contention too. These results are from people on different computers. It doesn’t make any sense and I got everyone to refresh their cache. It’s php – how can it vary? (Rhetorical question 🙂
Here is a link:
https://www.nbnnews.com.au/central-coast-news/
At first load, all the stories are from Central Coast.
If you use the pager then other regions (categories) populate it.
All the bottom menu items point to different regions (or categories).
Thanks for looking into it.

Hi,
For me it happens in Chrome on desktop, seems that after using the block ajax pagination the loaded posts are not posts from which the block has been filtered by. Also I saw duplicates after a few loads.
Also the block on the bottom of the page, the one with the load more behaves the same. The loaded posts don’t belong to the category set in the filter, and there are duplicate posts again, for example – http://prntscr.com/njwr5g
Seems to happen in all the pages, quite unusual. We could take a closer look at it, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, also include a link to this topic in the email. We may need to deactivate plugins and the child theme for testing. Let us know.
Thanks
Sorry, I should have mentioned that I have sent the details via email.
Hi,
If a reply hasn’t been made up to this point, then the mail must have ended in the spam folder for some reason, this happens sometimes. Sorry for the inconvenience.
We try to reply within 24hrs, excepting periods when there is a high volume of support.
Seems I forgot to mention this before, please check if the unique articles option is enabled for the pages – https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles/
This will most likely create duplicates when combined with block pagination.
If the option is disabled, then the problem is elsewhere. Please resend the email, and we will investigate. Sorry again for the inconvenience.
Hi Simion,
Thanks for the article but unfortunately it doesn’t solve our particular issue.
I’m resending the details through email. If you can give us a heads up when your going to do something.
