The shortcode that displays sibling categories on a child category archive template is immensely useful but it would make a lot more sense if it excludes itself from the list.
For example, under kids category on a clothing website, one can have a number of subcategories like footwear, caps, shorts, and shirts. It would look a lot better if the footwear category archive only shows links to the other three siblings, namely, caps, shorts, and shirts and excludes itself.
There doesn’t seem a point showing on a page, a link to itself since the user is already there, unless I am missing some SEO technicality or UX benefits (like breadcrumbs).

Unfortunately, you can’t exclude terms from category siblings, you can try to hide them with custom code css.

Oh! I forgot to mention in the post that this is just a suggestion or feature request. Developers could consider implementing it in the future updates. That’s all.
