Category Sub Limit

I have created a category called “State by State” (visible here: http://scumbagged.com/category/statebystate/) and it only shows the first 7 or 8 states and then the rest are in a drop down. I would like to be able to display all states and have none in a drop down. How can I do this?

Thanks!

Hello Scumbag,

Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option that allows you to disable this feature, sorry! Why do you want to display all of your sub-categories without drop-down because I saw that you have a lot of them and it will look ugly on the page, right?

Thanks for your understanding!

Well, the way that it currently has the drop down menu doesn’t work well. Users aren’t able to scroll down through all the states, it’s a pain in the ass. I want people to be able to search and browse and click the states quickly and painlessly without having to hit the drop down every single time. I would much rather prefer to have 6 rows of the states as opposed to one row with a drop down that spans 1,200 px down the page and people can’t see them all due to certain mobile phones. There has to be a way to change this. Where is this specific part of the code located at in the template? I can update the code myself there if you could tell me where this specific part of the code is isolated.

Thanks.

Hello Scumbag,

Sorry for this inconvenience but please notice that is the default theme behavior regarding on siblings category on category pages, sorry! If you want to make some deeper investigations in this regard, you should edit the theme core files and add your restrictions through the code. As a hint, you should edit the td_category_template.php, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/zBeL6u2gKwg
If you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take, in this case, consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom services at the moment, sorry!

Thanks.
