Hi,

That loading animation was developed trough js so it will be hard for your to change it or replace it if you do not have coding knowledge, you can find it in theme’s js file here: http://screencast.com/t/aDgWay2VXtr

Unfortunately this extends beyond our support so you’ll have to find a freelancer to help you on this if you would need this changes.

Can you share the code to use the Ajax loading gif from Newspaper, so I can copy and replace it in Newsmag?

The code which generate the animations for Newspaper is this one: http://pastebin.com/WVtAM1Ay Note that you may need some additional customizations in order to have thie code working properly on Newsmag theme.
