How do I change the background color on the homepage behind the “Big grid block” like in the Video news demo? I don’t want to install the demo content or settings.

1. Open your homepage in the Edit Page section like this – http://prntscr.com/djak7x
2. Scroll down to the Visual Composer editor and select the row containing the Big grid block – http://prntscr.com/djam0y
3. In Row Settings -> General -> Row Stretch, select Stretch row. Then, just bellow check the Full height row box – http://prntscr.com/djan7m
4. Go to Design Options, next to the General tab and choose the color you want for your background – http://prntscr.com/djao7x
The result is like this – http://prntscr.com/djapkh
Be sure to save your settings.

That changed the background like I wanted. But I have this whitespace above it? I probably need to adjust margins border and padding at “design options” to fix it?

@stefan5254 That should still work, just be sure to check if the tagDiv composer plugin is deactivated. Some settings or options will be affected by both page builders, so there will be a conflict.

If you deactivate the tagDiv composer it destroys the site. Do you have to have the tagDiv composer activated to use the Wpbakery?

After the recent theme updates, the composer has to be active at all times

Most of the theme files have been moved in the tagDiv composer, so it has to be active to maintain the same functionality.
If you want to use WPBakery you can use it. What are the problems you are having in using WPBakery?

The colors need to be changed but the only to change them is in the WPBakery. I spoke to you before and you said I had to deactivate the TAGDIV composer to make the changes work
Please provide an example of the colors that need to be changed, a link to where the elements are located and some details would be helpful. Maybe it can be done in a different way, with CSS for example.
The composer can’t be inactive anymore, deactivating it won’t be a solution.
