I found that an authors pollugin is influencing the color setting of the logged in username.

Unfortunately it didn’t.
The color issue occurs after login only.

I’m using Molongui Multiple Author.
And I noticed that when I unbailed the plugin, the login name color starts to display correctly.
I contacted Molongui support, they suggested adding a small script in functions.php , but it didn’t solve the problem.
The user name login is still in black color and I have no solution so far.

The CSS you uploaded works when I disable the Molongui plugin.
So, it’s not a problem with Newspaper, it’s with Molongui that is having some conflict.
