Change Newsmag for Newspaper

Hi guys

We bought Newsmag, cause we thought implement of Custom Post Type would be possible. Now we found out, that it is not possible, so I would like to ask, if we can switch themes to Newspaper where, so i read, is possible to show CPT.?

Would love to know what changes have you made to include CPT 🙂

In Visual Composer, there is a setting where you check what to include into VC. Then later in block setting you have to enter CPT name in Post type field and voila … now i just have to get CPT categories to work .. here i’m stucked

are you using custom taxonomies or built in categories with the cpt?

I made categories in cpt.

if they are the built in categories that come with the wordpress installation, you can use them in the drop own filter ajax filter with the custom post type.

no they are not .. that’s my problem 🙂 Do you happened to know the solution how to us them in ajax dropdown?

Since I could use this too I decided to give it a try. I was able to get custom taxonomy names in the ajax filter dropdown but I was unable to filter the block posts after the taxonomy selection from the dropdown. Maybe a little direction from tagDiv as to what changes are required in td-data_source/wp_query to make the filter work.

In past week we had like 3 different programmers trying to get Visual Composer to sort by CTP categories. None of them could make modifications 🙁 The last one says it’s definitely theme that makes a problem.

Do you have any estimated finish time regarding CTP support in Newsmag theme.

We wanted to start with our site tomorrow as of 1st July, but now we are pushed back to unknown date 🙁
