I want to change the bigslider 3 row to 2 columas by 2 rows, so it looks like the bigslider of http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/

At this point in time the only way to do that would be
1) hack the theme; which you would need to do on your own entirely (create new module yourself)
2) use the newsmag theme
3) wait for Newspaper 5.0 which will have some of the new modules they have come up with for VC but changed to fit the different layout and responsive format of Newspaper.
I could be wrong, but that has been my experience so far on this topic.
