Change the photo from inside the news by a gif. I tried to put it and it does not work for me. Is there any way that news images are not static and can be put on as a gif?

If the size of your gif is bigger then the thumb size for that module then from your gif will be created a thumb for that size.

The theme blocks cannot show gif’s as the main post image. Only inside the post can you see the gif animated. The theme created thumbnails from the featured image you add. A thumbnail from an animated gif is a static image. The blocks cannot render a gif directly.
