How to overcome this white area?

You could add a CSS selector to that banner via HTML and then have CSS pull it up 10 or 20px. I’m not sure if this banner is being loaded via the theme’s banner functionality or your own code, but either way you should be able to wrap it in a div that you can customize.

If you send the site URL I could take a look and maybe offer a code suggestion.

Please show us your site URL to inspect the issue. You can inspect from Firefox or Chrome using the inspector, can be solved from CSS, there is some margin or padding.

Add this in style.css

.td_980_resp .td-full-logo .td-grid-wrap {
    padding: 23px 0 0 !important;
}
