I’d like the view of the homepage to be the same as my category views. How can I do this?
I also can’t seem to find the tagDiv Mobile Theme in the .zip I downloaded, so I can’t customize the mobile theme.

you can create any homepage design including the one on categories in the tagdiv composer. The process is very easy as it’s a front-end editor: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
I’m not sure what category settings you want applied to your posts though. Category settings are meant for categories not posts. Please provide more details to what you want to achieve.

It says to use the widgetized sidebar block. However, when I add the widget sidebar, I can’t seem to get it to be in a separate column to the right of the page :/

You will have to split the row in a 2/3 + 1/3 layout in order to have elements on the right side of your page. Press the row settings button:
