Is there a child theme for the latest version of newspaper? I need to make some updates to the functions.php file to add some additional customizations and don’t want to lose the changes when an update is applied.

Hi,
The child theme is provided in the code folder in the full theme package you download from themeforest

It will include a stylesheet and functions file by default. There is a guide mentioning which of the theme files can be modified through it
