Has been 5 months since I’ve created my website: http://www.storypickers
Only two months ago I created a child theme for the newspaper theme. P.S: After I already published so many articles.
Now I want to update the theme, but I’m afraid if I lose anything. I’m worrying about the child theme, If I did it ok and is not a problem I’ve created it after 3 months.
However I’m waiting for an reply, or it will be a great solution to provide my wordpress username and pasword for any of you guys to take a look into it.

If you want to do an update to the latest version of our theme (6.6.5) you have to do a full backup and for your child theme because it will not work for the latest update because all the files will be overwritten with this update. You have to use the child theme wich comes bundled with our latest update and try to implement again all the customizations that you have done in the past and adjust it with the latest version.

So when I update the theme to Newspaper 6.6.5, I need to upload your new child theme located in your new folder?

Yes, for each update, the child theme will be changed and also, you have to re-add all you old customization in the new child theme.
