I just wanted to install a child theme as described in the documentation with just a style.css und function.php coming with the Newspaper theme.
But after switching to the child theme, in all my custom post types, the sidebar is gone. Switching back to normal Newspaper, the sidebar for CPT is back again. Have I missed something? Is this a bug?

If you use the child theme, please make sure you have set a single template => https://www.screencast.com/t/RG6guURh, because the default single template doesn’t have the sidebar set in the file.

Unfortunately, the Cloud Template can’t be used in a child theme, because this can be edited with tagDiv Composer and the configuration of them are saved into the database, you can use only the standard templates.
