I have upgrade the theme at the ultimate version. i have installed the child theme but if i insert my personal style into the style.css i not have any change. I have notice that the style work’s if i change the child theme name (if my child called child, if i change into child_1).
Why? There is a problem with the theme cache?

The child theme name should not affect the theme, but please try to use it with the default name provided here:

If you want to add custom css to your theme, do not use a child theme for that. The theme has a custom code box in the theme panel where you can add the css: http://screencast.com/t/sw3HjrWb7tx

ok so….but if i insert my css into theme panel, when i upgrade the theme i lose my code?
and, why i don’t past the css code to my style.css into child-theme ? All child theme work for that.
You can use the child thee for the css, I just stated it;s easier with the theme panel. You will not lose any code from the theme panel if you update. It is easier than using a child theme.
