child theme overrides possible in Newspaper 4?

This is great, but is there any support for this in Newspaper 4? We are using 4.6.3 and we’d like to override a template in /includes/modules

Is there a workaround for Newspaper 4?

The tutorial you refer it’s for Newspaper 6 and not applies totally for V.4.3 but I have tested the template files from /includes/modules and works with the child theme.
