Hello,
keep good working.
I just installed newspaper 7 and the child theme and I getting this error:
Name Description
Newspaper 7 Child theme The parent theme is missing. Please install the “Newspaper” parent theme.
Theme is activated, localhost server, no demo data installed, clean install, no upgrade.

It seems you installed the child theme in the wrong folder probably. Please use this guide to install the child theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
You have to install it in the same folder as the main theme under wp-content/themes: https://www.screencast.com/t/dPffw5qdQ
