I have a problem with the child theme creation. When I try to generate a child theme I get this message :” Fatal error: Cannot redeclare _verify_isactivate_widgets() (previously declared in .mywebsite./httpdocs/wp-content/themes/Newsmag-child/functions.php:14) in .mywebsite./httpdocs/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/functions.php on line 99
I dont find out how to risolve this issue.

You get this error when you activate the child theme? Please provide more details on this and also let us know what theme version you use.
Also make sure that you use the child theme provided in the files that came with your theme and also make sure that you remove any code/modification added to it and configure it using the instructions from this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/child-theme-documentation-newsmag/

Yes i get this error when i try to activate the child theme.
The child theme that I use is the one provided. There is still not any theme modification added (for this I need a child theme 🙂 ) The verion of the theme is the 1.7, and I had followed the instruction from the guide.
When I try to activate the child theme i get the message that i posted above. One time line 99 (and after that i try to block the function on line 99), one time line 119 of the function.php. If i block both the function is activating the child theme but (naturaly) give me problem with the widget.
