Hi, my first post, just getting started 🙂
I’ve set up a child theme with the help of the child theme support documentation. I’ve copied over the suggested templates and folder structure. I’ve used child themes before but setting them up always takes time.
At the end of the child theme support documentation it refers to some php files which can be copied over to the child theme. It gives a couple of examples but what are the others?
“The wordpress templates which are not loaded by theme API, like archives.php, header.php, etc, have child theme standard support.”
Please tell me, does it include the following?
- 404.php
- category.php
- footer.php
- header.php
- search.php
- sidebar.php
- style.woocommerce.css

Please notice that the child theme rewrite these kinds of files which you have listed above. So, using the child theme involve a lot of additional customizations which are addressed only to advanced users and if you are not aware of the steps which you needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!
