I copied your child theme from code/ folder to my wordpress and nothing more.
If I will chanege only colors through child theme for the header and in the theme itself in wordpress (through your theme panel) and I will update your theme in the future. Will I lost my colors or everything will remain?

Code entered in the child theme will not be lost when the theme is updated, unless you maybe delete the child theme. Code entered in the Theme panel->Custom code sections will not be lost as well. It is saved in the database once entered. These are considered safe methods of customizing the theme.

thank you for your reply. What I did is only copied newspaper child theme from folder whitch come with theme. I did not coded anything. I did only change colors in theme panel. I did not even touched child theme. I only activated it and then I changed colors in theme panel for some parts of theme, like header and footer…
So I would like to know if those colors remain after I will update newpaper theme?

Theme panel settings will not be lost when the theme is updated. These are saved in the database as well. The purpose of creating a child theme is to further customize the theme if there are no them options for what you need and not loose this customization. Simply activating the provided child theme will not influence anything in the main theme.
