What I want is that I can choose the category for each post of those published in a module big grid. For example, if I choose the big grid 1 module that shows 5 posts (1 big on the left and 4 small on the right) I would like to be able to configure it so that in the big box on the left a post comes out of a particular category (For example: sports). Also, in the first small box (of the 4 on the right) you can choose to leave posts from another category (for example: society) and so on for each big grid box.
This can be done?
If it can not be done, can you implement it for an upcoming update or can you tell me which files and code would need to be modified?

Unfortunately the grids do not work like that. The grid is a single whole element. It cannot be split into sections filtered differently. I will add this as a suggestion but i cannot promise anything though. The development team decide what gets implemented in the theme.
