Clone Social Media Counter?

I have multiple FB and Twitter accounts associated with my blog. I would like my readers to be able to choose which account to follow. I know that the Social Media Counter plugin does not accommodate multiple Twitter or FB accounts.

I thought maybe I would hire a developer to clone the social media counter plugin so I could use it as multiple plugins, one for each account. For example:

Social-Media-Counter-1 would be associated with Twitter Account 1 and shown as a Widget in Category 1.
Social-Media-Counter-2 would be associated with Twitter Account 2 and shown as a Widget in Category 2.

Before I spend the time and money I wanted to get your opinion on whether or not this feasible and makes sense.

You just need to create a new sidebar for each category, add social counter block in it then add the desired data in plugin’s settings.

I agree — it would be nice to be able to choose the social media accounts to include (via dropdown?). Some of us have multiple accounts of one channel associated with our site. (I have two Twitter accounts, for example.) Of course, that would mean labeling them in some way, I suppose.
