Cloud header conflict with polylang

Hello all.

I have a strange problem and I can’t find a solution. Tried everything!

I have already built my website with the newspaper theme and I have used cloud templates for header and footer. As a last step I add the polylang plugin to create a second language (Main Greek secondary English). I ‘ve used this in the past many times without a problem but right now I have a strange conflict.

When I add my second language (english) and I create the pages, everything at this step works fine. But when I add a new menu and trying to check it as an English header menu, the checkbox unchecked automatically (screenshot 1). As a result, there is no way to add an english menu and even in the english pages, the greek menu appears always.

I’ve contact Polylang support already and they told me it’s a theme conflict.

Any help or any ideas please?

Hi,
Polylang has not been tested with our theme, therefore we are not certain about the exact issue you are facing or how it can be resolved.
Please try the suggestion from the following guide: https://polylang.pro/documentation/support/getting-started/create-menus/
I hope this will help you.
Thank you!

Calin thanks for your answer. Just for the info for you or for other users, its a Polylang plugin problem. It conflicts with something in the core WordPress files and not with the theme.

After many many hours on this, I downgrade the Polylang plugin to an older version (3.6.7) and the problem has gone.
