Cloud Template for custom posts not showing inline ads with ad plugin

Love the theme so far by the way. But I’ve been working on this issue for a few hours now and couldn’t come up with a solution.

I created a custom post with a Cloud Template that I could use sitewide. Then using a wordpress plugin called Quick Adsense (I’ve also tried other plugins that do the same thing) I tried to place an ad after the 4th paragraph. The strange thing is that the ad shows up perfectly in any of the default and built in templates. But the ad will not show up at all in the custom template I built. Also, if i set the ad to show up at the end or beginning of the post the ad will work perfect in the custom template, but again if I set it somewhere in the middle of the post it will not show up at all.

So the ad just won’t show up in the middle of a post with the custom template.

Could this be caused by the custom templates not being able to be seen in paragraphs or something else?

I know you don’t support any of these other ad plugins, but why would it work fine in a default template and not in a custom one?

The reason I’m not using the built in ad box with the custom template is that on some posts I need to have the ad removed and this option is not available as of yet on a post by post basis.

Thank you for your time.

Hi,

In order to do that ( to set and ad inline in a post temple from cloud ), please go in Cloud Templates, and edit the template for single post

After that click on Single post content , change from general to ads and set the ads there

Hope this will help you.

Thank you..

As mentioned above, I can’t use this feature because I need to make sure some posts don’t have ads in the content. I’m using Quick Adsense because it allows me to use a shortcode to take out ads from any post individually.

The main question is why will the inline ads show up within a post on any default template but not the custom template. If I can figure that out I can solve this hopefully.

Hi,

The default templates get the ads for content from theme panel, but the template from tagDiv Cloud Library have on single post content specifics fields for content ads.

So, you can use cloud templates because the ads will appear only on that template that have set the ads, if you download one template more times and change the name ( example template_name_with_ads and template_name_with_ out_ads ) after that set the template with ads on post were you want to have ads, and the other one on posts with out ads.
All you need to do is to set the ads in post cloud template and not in theme panel, if in theme pane are not set ads on that post will not appear ads.
Also if you want you can check the new version of theme v9.5 and there are more more options and news

This is essentially the setup I am trying now. Which will work for this purpose. Using a different template on posts on which I do not want ads.

The key point I would like addressed, however, is knowing why a custom template will not allow plugins to insert information within a post. Default templates will allow plugins to insert an ad, image, etc after paragraph X, but a custom template will not allow this.

I have tried multiple plugins that insert data automatically after paragraph X and it always works fine in a default template and not in a custom template.

Is this because paragraphs are ignored in custom templates based on the Cloud Template single post content ads section?

If so it would be ideal to allow custom templates to use the site-wide theme panel ad boxes instead if that was desired.

If you have any questions about what I am trying to get across feel free to reach out to me.

Hi,

I think that the plugin that you are trying to use for add inline ads can not detect the content from clout templates (this is store in a special shortcode ).

Thank you for your understanding!

Ah yes. Ok That must be what it is. Thank you for helping me figure this out. So the custom template is using a shortcode to display the post and the plugin cannot see the content of the post essentially.

Are there any work arounds for this? The only reason I’m using a custom template is that I wanted some extra items under the comment section which the default templates did not have.
