Colors Go from Default Blue to My Color Once Fully Loaded

So I’ve been running the theme for quite some time. I just recently upgraded to 2.3 and installed the tagDiv speed booster plugin. I’m not sure if it is from that but when you first go to the site the colors will display the default blue and then go to my sites color, red. You can see here: http://screencast.com/t/e5T7ApA3 – I was also playing around with the Total Cache plugin and took your advice of only enabling what was supposed to if that helps.

I think in the readme for the tagdiv plugin, he says something about the colors not sticking for customization.

The “flash of unstyled” content is usually a sign something is loading before something else, so you see one version before other fully loads. I run into this with custom fonts, and sometimes with a style color. The tagdiv plugin is basically queing up the elements to load faster, but this can cause oddities based on “order things load.” It’s a trade off at the moment for speed vs compatibility — and with caching, your browser (especially chrome) may keep the one style, before it gets to the next style which has the custom colors.

Not technically a bug. I’m running the plugin and seems to work okay I hacked my colors.

(HINT: actual fix is to edit the default blue in the style.css file or wherever that element thing is so that the “over ride” color is in fact the “default” color.)

“tagDiv speed booster is still in beta! Currently it is affecting the theme customizer and probably some plugins. This plugin is for advanced users only. We are still working on it.”

@Christopher, I can’t seem to find the hex value for these because of the quick loading before it changes colors. Do you know the light blue color I can just replace?

Hi all,

I will try to solve this but it’s a hard problem :). The speed booster plugin moves all the styles at the bottom of the page and the theme default style is loaded first (because it’s at the bottom the style is instantly applied to the rendered page) and after that the theme outputs the colors.

Any update on this @Radu?

@Radu / @Marius, will this be fixed in an upcoming version?

Hi,

I did not managed to fix this yet 😐 . It needs major rewriting to work without the flickering.

Hi,

Unfortunately we are still investigating this issue as we didn’t managed to find a solution for it. You can try this method until we can fix this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/about-default-theme-colors/ this should fix this.

Thanks for the message!
