Column Layout Not Working

Friends,

I’m running version 7.2 of the theme and I installed the latest version of Visual Composer that came bundled with the theme.

The issue I’m having is that my site is only displaying in one column, even though I have setup a 2/3, 1/3 layout on the homepage. I’ve search the forums for similar issues, but I’ve yet to find a fix.

Any help would be appreciated.

I’ve also disabled all of my plugins and it still has the same symptoms.

Hi

I’ve checked your site and noticed that you’re using child theme. Try to deactivate it, clear all caches then test again. The issue is caused because the order in which the css resources are loaded on the page was changed a bit.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Andrei,

Thank you. That worked. So do you not recommend using child themes? We had made some header modifications that we wanted to preserve, but if Child Themes are just going to get in the way we won’t use them with your theme.

Thanks, again.

Stephen

HI

We do recommend to use the child theme but it must be updated and compatible with the main theme’s version used. We don’t change the child theme very often but once in a while that is’s also updated. Try to update the child theme to the version included in theme’s path, re-add your customizations and also check them to be compatible with V 7.2 of main theme, then test the site again.

Thanks!
