Column text element: shortcode output gets not rendered with paragraph tags

Hello,

I entered a shortcode (of a plugin) into the “Edit content” area of the Column text element. The output of the shortcode are some html-paragraphs, but the p-tags around the paragraphs are missing, so the output results in a big textblock without linebreaks.

When I enter the shortcode in a normal post, the output gets rendered correctly with p wrapped around.

Is this a bug?

The workaround is, to enter the p-tags manually of the plugin input.

Greetings

Hi be2name,
I remember a similar situation in an old version, but now In 12.1 The problem should be resolved.
Also, if this is html, maybe you can try it and see if is better displayed in the raw html element.
Thank you!

Hello Calin,

I have version 12.1.1 installed, so this seems not to be fixed.

I tried the raw html element instead, but this element does not process shortcode at all.

Hi,
Yes, in 12.1.1 the problem should be resolved, but was not tested using a shortcode that set text, it has been made for simple paragraphs, not plugin paragraphs.
Also, the Html will work for Html code, but if you use a plugin that provides a shortcode then, indeed using the column text and text with title elements are those that should be used.
As an alternative, if you can provide a link where I can inspect the problem, maybe I can provide a css to resolve the problem.
Thank you!
