Combine Category and Page

Hi there,

I was wondering if there was a way to make my category link and my page (of the same name) the same link.

For instance: I have a sports tab on my main menu bar that leads to a sports page

https://jargonthewebsite.com/sports/

But then if I were to click on a post of mine that I tagged with a “Sports” category it would take me to https://jargonthewebsite.com/category/sports/

Is there anyway I can make these the same page/address to make the site as clean as possible?

Hi,

Please notice that is not recommended to have a category and a page with the same name because this will confuse the WordPress.

So they cannot be made to have the same url address?

Can I stop categories from being clickable links?

Hi,

No the page and category must have a different url.
You can use a custom css to remove the clickable links from categories, just provide me links for the categories that you do not want to be clickable and I will help you with the css.
