My comments seem to have disappeared after the last update. I don’t know what happened to them as they were there before, but are now no longer appearing on my posts. We’ve not yet launched the site yet, but have some comments for testing that I want to make sure are visible. The comment count is still displayed on the top of the post, but no comments are visible and you can’t add your own comments to a post any longer. Any idea what happened?
Also, is there a better or recommended commenting platform that we should be using? Have people had better luck with Facebook or Disqus or something else? Or should we use the out of the box commenting? Looking for any recommendations here, but mostly want to fix the error that is happening now first. Thanks! Joe

Please make sure that you have enabled the comments from Theme Panel > Post Settings and clear cache then check if the comments appear on you articles – http://screencast.com/t/0uVF3q8LGrQ9
Also I cannot recommend any comments plugin as we did not tested, but I saw that many users use FB Comments or Disqus so you can also try to use a plugin if you want.

I have enabled the comments on the Post Template and also allowed comments on individual posts. However, it turns out that my posts still do not have a comment box. They only show “No Comments”.

If you enable comments from panel – http://screencast.com/t/gqJ1m5v2b9 and allows them on individual posts the comments box should appear. Please check these settings again and let me know.
Also you can check this without any plugins active except of Visual Composer and clear cache.
