Hi,
I am not able to enable comments under pages. I have disabled the option that says “DISABLE COMMENTS ON PAGES” under Template Settings–>>Page template

Are comments turned on in your main WP admin settings, discussion ?

Thanks for help but I d not want it to manually enable it on each new page rather I want it to be by default checked when I click on New Page…& for Chris S, Yes I have enabled Comments on settings-Discussion.

Hello,
Well unfortunately there is no other choice. If you want comments on your pages, you must set them to allow.
And the comments will only work with the default page template: http://screencast.com/t/PnKdoxiDI4a
