Hello, I’m having troubles to show comments of older posts, created before the installation of this new theme. I’ve configured everything correctly I think, but the comment section doesn’t show…
Settings #1: http://s15.postimg.org/ai6vupobf/Cattura_di_schermata_257.png
Settings #2: http://s15.postimg.org/uoadtljyz/Cattura_di_schermata_258.png
Comments correctly enabled in that post and showing with another theme. If I create a new post the comment section works fine.
Hi,
Please check this setting and see if your comments aren’t appearing because they are to old: http://screencast.com/t/Y8jAjk9jCu
Please also try this without any plugins, empty cache/purge files and check for this again.
Thanks
Hello, that was the problem, but this setting on the single article shouldn’t ovverride that option?http://s3.postimg.org/6ecj8ges3/Cattura_di_schermata_260.png
And how can I set things in a way that comments are closed but shown?
Hi,
Using this option: http://screencast.com/t/sXTFSK3YDIE3 you will only get the comment section into your page not the old comments: http://screencast.com/t/udeD778EJh
Try to edit the posts you want to allow/disallow comments on and set this: http://screencast.com/t/IwI07yb67
Only the first options can be overwritten from posts: http://screencast.com/t/jwmk9Gl2OePd
Please let me know!
Thanks

Hello, ok now I understood the situation. The fact is that I tought that I could enable comments for single post, but this doesn’t override the general setting. So, if you say that post older than 14 days have comment closed, then it’s a general setting and you can’t override this.
Anyway, I think that you should edit the theme and made it possible to show old comments also when comments are closed. Or at least, add an option. Do you agree?
