Hello,
There appears to be problems with the WordPress block editor when creating/editing posts since the new WordPress update. The title font size is now small. Also, when I edit blocks I can no longer edit the title without saving and refreshing the page. There is also an issue with the categories, tags, featured image on the sidebar not loading in.
I am using the Newspaper theme. These problems do not occur when I use a default WordPress theme.

Can you please provide more information or a video about this issue with and without our theme? Make sure you are using only the theme plugins and not extra plugins which are not tested with our theme.

I have noticed that when editing an existing post resources comes a little crazy (lot of cpu, i/o and ram uses when opening a post that you want to edit). This was not happening with last wordpress version. I´m using a cloud template for post.
Anyone have noticed this issue?
We have a similar issues. When editing a post, the title is now displayed in small font. In addition and more importantly, there is no option to add a featured image when editing a post on mobile device.
After updating to WordPress 5.9 with the Newspaper 11.4 theme, the “Page Template Settings” below the Page Content editing section has disappeared, so it is not possible to enable/disable the Unique Articles feature or set other required template settings. Could you check please?

As I mentioned before, for us the featured image field is missing when editing the post on mobile device. On desktop it is fine.
The problem can be observed using Developer tool on a desktop browser as well (you need to switch to mobile device and refresh the page). Can you check this one please?

I too cannot even use the template. The theme panel has disappeared, the tag div plugins for the newsletter, composer and standard pack plugins do not work at all

Hi there,
We seem to have a issues with the display of title and subheading sizes in gutenberg editor. The font sizes show the same as paragraph size. If I change to a twenty-one or twenty-two theme of wordpress the gutenberg editor displays title and subheadings in the right sizes. So this seems a Newspaper issue we encountered a few days ago.

For example, I have the version of wp 5.9 and php version 7.2.34 and I can not meet all these problems. Make sure you have only the tagdiv plugins and not using some extra non-tested plugins with our theme or cache plugins.

The problem was resolved with a new update. Download the new update and clear the cache.
After the update Alex talked about, everything was fine for a moment at our site too. But no 2 weeks later, subheadings (H2-H6) are displaying only in paragraph size again in the backend (wp block editor), while the title is displaying the right size for H1 tag. Can not figure out if this is a WordPress thing or not. Installed latest update of Newspaper yesterday, but that didn’t change this odd behavior of block editor. Any hint where to look, or do I just need to wait for WP to fix this? I already Googled on it (for hours) but nothing comes up on this issue.

Titles H2 / 3/4 / etc. they have been corrected in size with the latest update. You try to deactivate “tagDiv Composer” (plugin), clear the cache and then reactivate the plugin.
The problem lies with the theme. Let me explain: when WordPress updates some codes must also be updated by Newspaper. It happens that this is not immediate and we have to wait for an update from Newspaper. However even if the H2 titles on the Block editor are viewed with a normal font then when the article is published they are viewed with the right size.
