In fact, I want to propose a french interface administration to my collaborators.
For example, I would like to translate :
– Names of Widgets, options of widgets and descriptions of widgets
– The labels of forms to insert blocs or modules when I edit a content, and all the interfaces proposed to configure the blocs (slide, categories, etc.) via pop-ups.
– And finally, it would be great to be able to translate the theme panel
The english language is really a limit to work and manage the website.
Many items are listed in the default.po but I can’t use this file for the moment. Any solution?

PS: I have put a fr_FR.mo in a “languages” folder in “Newspaper”. Some translations work fine like names and descritpions of widgets but not others. I dont understand exactly the mecanism.

You can’t translate it with .Mo/.Po, it doesn’t work, sorry about that! What you can do is to edit each files and translate directly there.

You can use Notepad++ and search directly on the entire theme files to identify a text that you want tot translate.

Really good reactivity. Thank you for the work. The last version (3.2) lets you use these files for translation.
The translation works fine now except for Visual Composer like I mentionned it in this post : https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/visual-composer-not-translated-french/
I hope this will be fixed soon.

Only a few elements can be translated, like widget titles and widget descriptions but not the rest.
I hope too that this option will be added soon.
