How do I configure Newspaper 9 so that the image on a post or page, the link to an article goes only to the source webpage rather than the post/page with the summary article, picture, and attribution link.

Hi,
By source page you mean the image itself? So when clicking on an image it should direct to the URL of the image? In the post content for example, you can choose what clicking on an image does – http://prntscr.com/o6d7z0
Maybe this is what you are looking for. Setting the image to link to the media file will lead to the image itself.
If I misunderstand let me know, and if possible provide some examples of what you wnt to do.
